The Joe Orrach Performance Project (or JOPP for short) is a dance, theater, and performance art nonprofit that recognizes the vital importance of storytelling. In the process of sharing our stories in an immersive artistic environment, we hope that audience members will leave with the desire to share their own stories – with us, with each other, with the world. Our one-of-a-kind workshops with artistic director Joe Orrach directly encourage students to find their voices, because we believe that no one should be afraid to tell the story of their own experiences. The stories that lie at the core of who we are can sometimes be the hardest to tell, so our organization is dedicated to doing our work with open hearts and minds. Everyone has a story to tell – and every story is worth the telling. Yours. Mine. Ours.
